As we count down to Vulcan’s USSF-106 (window opens 23:59 UTC / 01:59 CEST), we’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of Atlas V launching NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on Aug 12, 2005, from SLC-41.

MRO’s still at work revealing Mars’ surface, climate and history, one of 20 journeys to the Red Planet by ULA and heritage rockets.
